New GEWO-blades 2025
The table tennis blade is the centrepiece of every racket. It generally consists of several layers, usually of different types of wood, whereby at least 85% of the material must be of natural origin. Hard woods such as walnut or mahogany provide speed and are ideal for offensive players, while softer woods such as birch or abachi offer better control and a sensitive feel for the ball - ideal for defensive players. High-quality blades specifically combine different veneers and also rely on modern materials such as carbon or glass fibres to extend the so-called sweet spot, the optimum hitting zone. The quality of the gluing, the choice of veneers and even the handle construction have a significant influence on the playing behaviour. Modern blades combine classic craftsmanship with innovative technology - the right blade for every style of play. In this category you will find a selection of carefully constructed blades that players traditionally rely on - whether in training or competition.
GEWO blades are developed in co-operation with experts and professional players in Germany and produced by selected, well-known and renowned manufacturers.
