PiMPLEPARK Blade Impetus
PiMPLEPARK Impetus - Let your attacking game begin! As one of only a few brands around the world, PiMPLEPARK has started to focus on developing table tennis rubbers and blades which harmonize perfectly with the plastic ball right after its foundation. The Impetus is the first offensive blade developed and brought to market by the German company. Impetus is Latin and stands for attacking. While the first three blades were much more defense-oriented, it was time to develop the first offensive blade. The goal was to create a fast, controlled and lightweight offensive blade which suits both topspin and short pimple players. In order to develop a blade with these characteristics, the PiMPLEPARK test players tested various different combinations. As it turned out, the best combination was the popular inner carbon construction, which features two very thin carbon layers placed on top of the lightweight and spin-friendly balsa core veneer. The veneer structure in detail: Core veneer made of 5.2mm balsa Two thin inner carbon layers Two 1.0mm ayous veneers Outer veneers made of 0.4mm koto veneers The Impetus is specially aimed at offensive players: Classical offensive players relying on fast, hard topspin and smash shots will enjoy the Imepetus. Even though the blade is fast and direct, it can create a lot of spin when the ball is hit in the right angle. Overall, this blade is clearly aimed more at speed-oriented rather than spin-oriented players. Aggressive short pimple players close to the table: Short pimple players will highly enjoy the Impetus as well. The combination of balsa and carbon makes the blade fast and direct, enabling vigorous counter-attacks and blocks as well as powerful smash shots. During passive play, the Impetus offers excellent control thanks to the inner carbon fibres. When using reversed pimples or short pimples, players will highly enjoy blocking and counter-attacking. When combined with long pimples, the blade is probably slightly too fast and is only suitable for players with very high control on the pimple side. Weighing about 80g, the Impetus is pleasantly lightweight and well-balanced. The dark handle in combination with the light-coloured outer veneers conveys a timeless elegance. Workmanship is excellent as well. And thanks to the slightly sanded edges, the handle provides a pleasant feeling in the hand.

PiMPLEPARK Rubber Tenaxx

SKU: 10270

PiMPLEPARK Rubber Tenaxx
PiMPLEPARK Rubber Tenaxx The Tenaxx is a highly interesting anti-topspin rubber made by the German brand PiMPLEPARK. Following the long pimple rubbers Wobbler and Cluster, the developers’ goal was to design an anti-topspin rubber which helps offensive players preparing their point-winning strokes. The Tenaxx is neither a slick nor a classical anti-topspin rubber. In terms of its playing properties, this rubber can be categorized between the two dominating variants on the market. The Topsheet of the Tenaxx is slick, but in contrast to pure slick anti-topspin rubbers, it still provides minimal friction. What is special about this blade is its combination of a slick surface and a unique and very soft dampening sponge. The rubber is available with a sponge thickness of 1.0mm, 1.5mm and 2.0mm. In contrast to conventional rubbers, the rule for the Tenaxx is: the thicker the sponge, the slower the rubber. Thus, the rubber can be used for different purposes, depending on the sponge thickness: 2.0mm version for players close to the table. In this version, the rubber has the strongest dampening effect. Due to its very low speed, it is possible to combine the rubber with fast offensive blades. Spin reversal is not as pronounced as in slick anti-topspin rubbers, but slightly better than in classical anti-topspin rubbers. The strength of the 2.0mm version is definitely its extremely high control. The sponge absorbs even the hardest topspin shots and makes it easy to perform short blocks. This enables players to disrupt their opponents’ rhythm considerably and to prepare their own forehand attacks perfectly. However, players should stay close to the table with this rubber as the dampening effect is so strong that mid-distance strokes hardly reach the opponent’s half. 1.5mm version for variable players. The medium sponge version is perfectly suited for variable players. Control is still excellent, while the slightly increased speed also enables dangerous counter-attacks in addition to purely passive blocks. Through variable shots, the blade allows players to disrupt their opponents’ rhythm and to launch their own attacks. Spin reversal is minimally higher than in the 2.0mm version. This variant should also be used primarily close to the table, however, it also allows for occasional defensive strokes. 1.0mm version for defensive players. The thinnest sponge version of the Tenaxx differs considerably from the other two variants in some strokes. While the other two versions are not well-suited for defensive strokes far from the table, the 1.0mm variant works very well for classical defensive strokes. The surprising thing is that this version of the Tenaxx produces considerable backspin when defending far from the table. When playing near the table, the low speed also facilitates counter-attacks such as smash shots or long blocks. Therefore, the Tenaxx is not primarily aimed at players who wait for the opponent to commit easy errors due to a strong spin reversal (which is higher in slick anti-topspin rubbers), but rather at forehand-oriented offensive players who use the backhand to prepare their attacks, benefiting from the special playing properties of this anti-topspin rubber. In its thin 1.0mm version, the rubber matches well with more defensive blades such as the Filius. In the medium version, the Tenaxx harmonizes perfectly with the Murus. The 2.0mm version’s sponge has such as strong dampening sponge that it works best with fast blades such as the Impetus or the Sica.

PiMPLEPARK Blade Castro

SKU: 9670

PiMPLEPARK Blade Castro
PiMPLEPARK Castro - a fast but controllable defensive blade! PiMPLEPARK is probably one of the few table tennis brands worldwide which, already since its foundation, has focused on the development of rubbers and blades adapted to the new plastic ball. Following the Murus, the Castro is the second blade of the German brand. Castro is a word used in Romance languages and is derived from the Latin word castrum, which means fortress. PiMPLEPARK’s developers had a clear vision in mind when creating this blade: The Castro was supposed to provide a solid fortress for players. Therefore, this is a very controlled, yet relatively fast defensive blade which we would classify as a Def+ or All. In contrast to the Murus, the Castro does not feature additional materials, such as carbon or arylate. It is an all-wood blade with a quite unusual veneer structure. The blade consists of nine very well-matched wood veneers. The Castro offers very high control and a medium-high bounce. The well-matched veneers lead to very good spin characteristics and superb feel. The blade creates relatively little vibration and is minimally top-heavy. The Castro has been specially developed to suit the following types of players: Disruptive players close to the table using ox rubbers. During disruptive play with long pimples (preferably in the ox-version), the Castro enables unpleasant stop blocks and excellent attacking options with the long pimple side. The reversed pimple side, on the other hand, allows for high-rotation counter-attacks thanks to the good spin characteristics and the sufficiently high speed. Aggressive pushing can also be performed with high precision. Needless to say, the Castro can easily be combined with the two rubbers developed by PiMPLEPARK, the Cluster and the Wobbler, and, of course, with other long pimple rubbers. Modern defenders playing distant from the table with many offensive strokes. Its high control yet sufficiently high speed also makes the Castro an interesting alternative for modern defensive players. The blade provides enormous spin when defending distant from the table using classical reversed rubbers, such as the Joola Topspin C or the PiMPLEPARK Epos in its thinner sponge versions, or long pimples, such as the TSP Curl P1 R. When playing close to the table, the Castro’s very high control make it particularly effective during blocks, which can be performed with high precision so as to prepare counter-attacks. The Castro is slightly more defensive than the Murus. Despite not featuring carbon, it works very well with long pimples. The Castro is available with straight and flared handles. Weighing approximately 95g, the Castro is not quite a lightweight. However, this is not problematic, since most players will combine this blade with an ox rubber or a very thin reversed rubber on the backhand side.

PiMPLEPARK Blade Filius

SKU: 9671

PiMPLEPARK Blade Filius
PiMPLEPARK Filius - made entirely in Germany with the highest craftsmanship. PiMPLEPARK is one of the few brands worldwide to focus entirely on developing rubbers and blades specially geared to the new plastic ball. Following a long process from the first idea to the development of the final product, the German brand has now launched its third blade, the Filius. Filius comes from the Latin word for "son". This name is based on a clear concept: The Filius is, so to speak, the son of the defensive blade Castro, which we also offer. The aim was to develop a slower variant of the Castro which suits true defensive strategists. Thus, the idea of the Filius was born. It is a five-ply allwood blade. The developers deliberately decided not to use any additional materials or synthetic fibres in this defensive blade. The blade head was slightly enlarged and thus suits classical defenders. Nevertheless, the developers managed to keep the total weight of the blade at around 85 grams. The blade is available with either a straight or a flared handle. The detailed veneer structure: kiri core veneer second layer made of limba outer veneers made of spruce handle made of walnut tree wood The Filius is aimed at the following types of defensive players: Classical defenders defending far from the table: The Filius supports classical defenders thanks to its extremely high control and its low speed. Safety is the highest priority, enabling players to play flat and precise returns on fast and high-spin loops. The Filius can be combined with both long pimples and slow inverted rubbers as well as with anti-topspin rubbers. It offers enormous spin. Defensive all-round players relying on safety and spin. All-rounders playing close to the table can perform effective, high-spin strokes with the Filius. The blade with its soft spruce outer veneers offers a very interesting feeling when combined with thick and hard rubbers. Control remains phenomenal and the spin potential is above average as well. Thus, defensive allrounders can force their opponents to commit errors through safe blocking and pushing as well as through high-spin loops. Compared to the Castro and the Murus, the Filius is the slowest blade in PiMPLEPARK’s product range. It is clearly aimed at players waiting for opponents‘ errors while only occasionally winning points through active strokes. Players following the motto "safety above all" will highly enjoy this blade!

PiMPLEPARK Rubber Epos

SKU: 9668

PiMPLEPARK Rubber Epos
PiMPLEPARK Rubber Epos The Epos is the first reversed rubber developed by the material specialist PiMPLEPARK. This rubber was specially developed for defensive and modern allround players. Recent developments in the leading table tennis brands show that new creations are almost exclusively made for fast offensive players. This trend is probably due to the fact that the Asian market has become so important for the big table tennis brands, whereas the great demand for slow and medium-fast materials in Germany and Europe is simply neglected. PiMPLEPARK aims to fill in this gap with the Epos. Especially since the introduction of the new plastic ball, many defensive players and modern allrounders have had the problem of classical Japanese rubbers being too slow and creating too little spin. The Epos solves this problem! The topsheet is very grippy and slightly tacky, leading to enormous spin even with the new plastic ball. This topsheet was combined with a modern, soft 36-38° sponge which has a slight built-in speed glue effect. However, in comparison to German speed glue rubbers, this effect is less pronounced. Most notably, the catapult effect, which often leads to reduced control, is not as strong in this rubber. The Epos is available with the following sponge thicknesses: 1.0mm, 1.4mm, 1.7mm and 1.9mm. In these versions, control remains sufficiently high despite the modern sponge. The extremely grippy and slightly tacky topsheets allow for very effective spin variation. Offensive strokes aiming to disrupt the opponent’s attacks can be played with high control and sufficient speed. Especially when serving and returning, the enormous spin potential makes a very positive impact. The 1.7mm and 1.9mm variants offer all options for a modern allround game. Whether it’s high-rotation opening topspins, blocking and counter-attacking, or smash shots: The Epos combines speed, control, and rotation perfectly. PiMPLEPARK deliberately chose not to use thicker sponges since there are other rubbers on the market in this segment which better meet the requirements of offensive players. That said, the Epos is probably one of the most interesting rubbers on the market for defensive players and modern allround players in times of the plastic ball.
